Danny Woo appointed as IAACA President
Mr Danny Woo, Commissioner of ICAC, Hong Kong, China, is appointed as the new President of IAACA, with effect from 1 September 2023.
Mr Simon Peh Bids Farewell
After 11 years of dedicated services in the IAACA Executive Committee, Mr Simon Peh is going to step down from the office of IAACA President on 31 August 2023. Mr Peh takes this opportunity to thank IAACA members for their continuous support.
Building stronger alliance with African counterparts
Mr Simon Peh, IAACA President, led a delegation to attend the 6th Annual General Meeting (AGM) of Association of African Anti-Corruption Authorities (AAACA) held in Johannesburg, South Africa on 31 July – 1 August 2023 to consolidate the working relationship with the anti-corruption counterparts in Africa.
Kenneth WONG Kwok-hung appointed as IAACA Secretary-General
Mr Kenneth WONG Kwok-hung was appointed by IAACA Executive Committee as the Association’s new Secretary-General with effect from 1 May 2023, following the retirement of his predecessor Ms Sally Kwan.
Joint Webinar - Corruption Without Borders. How to cooperate to tackle it?
Corruption is a global threat that undermines the rule of law and hinders economic growth. The fight against corruption is challenging and requires a coordinated effort internationally. This webinar, co-organized by the European Partners against Corruption/European contact-point network against corruption (EPAC/EACN) and the International Association of Anti-Corruption Authorities (IAACA), shares the latest global practices and experience in anti-corruption work, so as to enhance graft fighters’ knowledge and skills to effectively prevent and combat corruption.
4th IAACA Executive Committee Meeting
IAACA Executive Committee (ExCo) held its 4th meeting in the Secretariat’s new office in Hong Kong, China on 26 April 2023. This was the first time since the pandemic that a physical meeting was held for the ExCo. A total of 20 ExCo members or their representatives joined the meeting in person or online.
Liability of Legal Persons Workshop by MACC Malaysia and UNODC
The Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission (MACC), in collaboration with the United Nations Office on Drugs and Crime (UNODC), will organize the “Liability of Legal Persons Workshop” in a hybrid format (physical and online) on 20-21 June 2023 at the Pulse Grande Hotel, Putrajaya, Malaysia.
Opening of New IAACA Office
The IAACA Secretariat is glad to announce that the new IAACA office was opened in Hong Kong, China on 26 April 2023.
