Two IAACA members—Sri Lanka’s Commission to Investigate Allegations of Bribery or Corruption (CIABOC) and Zambia’s Anti-Corruption Commission (ACC)—recently completed a five-day study programme at the Independent Commission Against Corruption (ICAC) of Hong Kong, China.
Leading the delegations were Mr Kapugamage Bernard Rajapakse, Commissioner of CIABOC, and Mrs Monica Chipanta-Mwansa, Deputy Director General of ACC. They engaged in insightful discussions with IAACA President and ICAC Commissioner, Mr Danny Woo, and his team, exploring Hong Kong’s comprehensive three-pronged strategy to combat corruption: law enforcement, systemic prevention, and community education.

In addition to exchanging experiences with ICAC representatives, the delegates toured ICAC facilities, gaining hands-on exposure to Hong Kong’s anti-graft efforts.

IAACA Secretary-General, Mr C K Cheung, also met with the delegates to provide updates on IAACA initiatives aimed at fostering global anti-corruption collaboration.

Both delegations expressed appreciation for the valuable insights gained during the programme, and looked forward to closer cooperation with ICAC and other global counterparts in the fight against corruption.
