IAACA Secretary-General Attends 40th APEC ACTWG Meeting

Mr C.K. Cheung, Secretary-General of IAACA and Assistant Director of ICAC Hong Kong, China, participated in the 40th meeting of the APEC Anti-Corruption and Transparency Experts' Working Group (ACTWG) held in Gyeongju, Korea, on 27-28 February 2025. During the meeting, Mr Cheung provided an overview of IAACA’s achievements in 2024 and outlined strategic initiatives for the upcoming year.

Mr Cheung also seized the opportunity to engage with senior delegates from APEC economies, including representatives from IAACA Executive Committee members such as CPIB Singapore, MACC Malaysia, and ACB Brunei Darussalam. These discussions focused on exchanging anti-corruption initiatives and exploring avenues for future collaboration.

IAACA and APEC ACTWG share a common vision to create a world free from corruption and enhance transparency. This meeting served as a valuable platform for Asia-Pacific counterparts to exchange insights and experiences in combating corruption. As we move forward, IAACA remains committed to expanding its international network and promoting a transparent global community.
