IAACA President and ICAC Commissioner Mr Danny Woo visited international anti-corruption organizations in Austria to enhance mutual understanding and explore closer collaboration.

President Woo visited the United Nations Office on Drugs and Crime (UNODC) in Vienna on 11 September and met with the organization’s Executive Director Ms Ghada Waly.  Noting that UNODC, as observer to the Executive Committee of IAACA, is a key partner of the Association in advancing the global fight against corruption, President Woo said IAACA, ICAC and UNODC would further strengthen global anti-corruption collaboration.

President Woo also visited the International Anti-Corruption Academy (IACA) in Austria on 12 September to explore further training cooperation.

This is my first visit to anti-corruption organizations in Europe since taking up the posts as ICAC Commissioner and President of IAACA. While over the years close ties with these organizations have been developed, more opportunities for cooperation will be explored on this trip, demonstrating the determination of IAACA and the ICAC in proactively fostering a probity culture. Anti-graft cooperation should transcend borders, all the more so because corruption knows no boundaries. We should all come together and share our successful experience,” President Woo said.

As the international anti-corruption trend has kept evolving, IAACA will continue to strengthen cooperation with our anti-corruption partners around the globe.
