The Tenth Session of the Conference of the States Parties to the United Nations Convention against Corruption (CoSP10), one of the most significant international anti-corruption conferences of the year, was held in Atlanta, United States on 11-15 December 2023. The IAACA delegation, led by Secretary-General Mr Kenneth Wong, took part in this important event to connect with anti-corruption counterparts around the world.

On 12 December 2023, IAACA co-organized a special event with the United Nations Office on Drugs and Crime (UNODC) and the Independent Commission Against Corruption Hong Kong, China (ICAC) to launch the “Policy Guide for National Anti-Corruption Agencies on Meaningful Youth Engagement in Anti-Corruption Work”. This special event also showcased how meaningful youth engagement can take place in various forms in the world. Winners of UNODC’s Southeast Asian Police Cadet Essay Competition shared their experience in promoting integrity in law enforcement agencies, and there was an introduction to Coding4Integrity Youth Anti-Corruption Hackathon. Over 130 participants participated in the event in person or online.

In addition, IAACA Secretary-General Mr Kenneth Wong spoke in the special event hosted by National Authority for Probity, Prevention and Fight against Corruption of Morocco. The seminar, entitled "Marrakech Declaration: A Decade Later", highlighted the importance of prevention as one of the main pillars in the fight against corruption. In his remarks, Mr Wong underlined the role of IAACA in working with anti-corruption authorities to nip corruption in the bud, “IAACA, as an active player in the international anti-corruption community, stands ready to contribute to the effective implementation of UNCAC in particular on corruption prevention by fostering international cooperation on both a regional and global basis to strengthen the capacity of anticorruption authorities.

Riding on this opportunity, bilateral meetings were held with anti-corruption authorities of Australia, Ghana, Greece, Mauritius and the Republic of Korea to exchange on international anti-corruption developments and promote the work of the Association.
