In April 2025, Mr Danny Woo, President of IAACA and Commissioner of the Independent Commission Against Corruption (ICAC) of Hong Kong, China, embarked on a mission to three Southeast Asian countries - Brunei Darussalam, Singapore and Indonesia, further strengthening regional anti-corruption collaborations.
In Brunei Darussalam, President Woo held a bilateral meeting with Datin Paduka Hajah Anifa Rafiza binti Haji Abdul Ghani, Director of the Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) of Brunei Darussalam and IAACA ExCo member, to exchange insights on anti-graft efforts in the region. This meeting further strengthened collaborations on officers’ training and other initiatives, including an ACB official to share in the webinar on digital and forensics accounting co-hosted by ICAC and IAACA in June 2025.

In Singapore, President Woo met another ExCo member Mr Sam Tee, Director of Singapore’s Corrupt Practices Investigation Bureau (CPIB) for discussion of multifaceted collaborations. President Woo also met with the Commissioner of the Singapore Police Force (SPF) to share views on law enforcement practices.

In Indonesia, President Woo engaged with Mr Setyo Budiyanto, Chairman of the Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) of Indonesia, to strengthen collaboration on law enforcement and preventive education.

During the duty visit, President Woo also invited the agencies to join a regional training programme in Thailand on engaging youth in anti-corruption work, which will be held jointly by IAACA, the United Nations Office on Drugs and Crime (UNODC), ICAC Hong Kong, and the National Anti-Corruption Commission of Thailand in July this year.
Moreover, the agencies also agreed to support “Coding4Integrity” Asian Youth Anti-Corruption Hackathon , jointly hosted by IAACA, ICAC Hong Kong and UNODC, to be held in Hong Kong this September.
The mission has fostered practical anti-corruption collaborations with IAACA partners, strengthening partnerships and enhancing anti-corruption capabilities across the Southeast Asian region. IAACA will continue to work with anti-corruption agencies globally, taking a leading role in the fight against corruption.
