IAACA continues to strengthen its presence in the global anti-corruption community. In his first weeks in office, newly appointed IAACA Secretary-General Mr C K Cheung actively engaged in key international events, sharing insights and experiences in the global fight against corruption.

Mr Cheung attended the 40th meeting of the APEC Anti-Corruption and Transparency Experts' Working Group (ACTWG), held in Gyeongju, Korea, on 27–28 February 2025. During the meeting, he provided an overview of IAACA’s achievements in 2024 and outlined strategic initiatives for the year ahead.

Following this, Mr Cheung participated in the G20 Anti-Corruption Working Group Meeting in Cape Town, South Africa, from 3–5 March 2025. This high-profile event served as an invaluable opportunity to showcase IAACA’s ongoing efforts in supporting its members to prevent and combat corruption.

During these engagements, Mr Cheung met with IAACA’s key stakeholders and senior delegates from G20 member countries and APEC economies, exchanging insights on anti-corruption initiatives and exploring avenues for future collaboration.

These international conferences provide vital platforms for IAACA and its partners to foster meaningful exchanges and enhance cooperation. IAACA remains committed to actively participating in global forums, creating greater synergies to advance the international anti-corruption agenda.
