IAACA President and ICAC Commissioner Mr Danny Woo visited international anti-corruption organizations in Austria to enhance mutual understanding and explore closer collaboration.
President Woo visited the United Nations Office on Drugs and Crime (UNODC) on 11 September and met with the organization's Executive Director Ms Ghada Waly to discuss ways to strengthen the collaboration among IAACA, ICAC and UNODC. He also visited the International Anti-Corruption Academy (IACA) on 12 September to explore further training cooperation.
UNODC and IACA are key partners of IAACA in advancing the global fight against corruption. UNODC, an observer of IAACA, keeps close contact with the Association and has provided invaluable advice on the Association's strategic development. It is also working with the Association and the Independent Commission Against Corruption (ICAC), Hong Kong, China on a joint project to develop a policy guide for national anti-corruption authorities on meaningful youth engagement in anti-corruption efforts. IACA sits in IAACA's Training Committee and has worked with the Association on various training initiatives over the years.
The visits form part of IAACA's strategic moves to forge closer partnership with international organizations under Mr Woo's leadership. As the international anti-corruption trend keeps evolving, IAACA will continue to strengthen cooperation with our anti-corruption partners around the globe.
