Feedback on the work of the IAACA
Following the 12th General Meeting of IAACA held on 8 December 2022, IAACA Secretariat received feedback from Mr. Shakeel Anjum Nagra, Director of Training and Research Division of the National Accountability Bureau of Pakistan. He expressed his support for IAACA's major initiatives in 2023 and highlighted the importance of joint collaboration between IAACA members and anti-corruption authorities in the global fight against corruption.
IAACA's participation in the 10th session of Conference of the States Parties to the United Nations Convention against Corruption, the launch of the Policy Guide in meaningful engagement of youth in anticorruption efforts for policy makers and various capacity building programmes in the areas of investigation are of paramount importance to eradicate corruption in member countries and beyond. The launch of the new IAACA website with new features also served as a good example of using technology in facilitating information sharing and experience exchange.
IAACA Secretariat is much grateful for Mr Shakeel Anjum Nagra's comments and support for IAACA. Feedback from our members and partners are always welcome.
NCPA's compendium of national anti-corruption strategies and plans
Network of Corruption Prevention Authorities (NCPA) published a compendium of national anti-corruption strategies and plans of members and partners of NCPA “National anti-corruption strategies and plans: the importance of common features and shared challenges in the richness of diversity of national responses. Compendium of emerging policies and practices in the Network of Corruption Prevention Authorities” in February 2023. The objective of the compendium is to collect contributions from NCPA members and partners, including a brief description to explain the features of the respective national contexts, in-depth analysis and considerations on specific challenges. It presents different experiences in the design and implementation of national anticorruption strategies or frameworks, seeks to capitalise lessons learnt, and disseminates best practices to policy makers and anti-corruption practitioners.
IAACA supported the initiative by inviting members to complete NCPA's survey for the project to broaden the scope of the analysis.
