In a powerful demonstration of international partnership, IAACA successfully convened a series of meetings in Doha, Qatar. The proceedings began with the IAACA Executive Committee meeting on 12 December 2025. This was followed by the Annual Conference and General Meeting on 13 December 2025.
IAACA Annual Conference 2025 - Integrity for the Future: Innovation, Collaboration & Action against Corruption
The Annual Conference was co-organized with United Nations Office on Drugs and Crime (UNODC), the Administrative Control and Transparency Authority (ACTA) of Qatar, and Independent Commission Against Corruption, Hong Kong, China (ICAC). It brought together over 250 graft fighters and government officials from 80 jurisdictions worldwide.
Opening Session
The event was inaugurated by HE Hamad bin Nasser Al-Misnad, President of ACTA, Ms Brigitte Strobel-Shaw, Chief of Corruption and Economic Branch of UNODC, Vice Presidents, Advocate Andy Mothibi and Dr Giuseppe Busia, and Secretary-General, Mr CK Cheung.
Opening Remarks by the President
IAACA President and ICAC Commissioner Mr Danny Woo delivered his opening remarks online, as he was unable to attend the events in person. He explained that he had to remain in Hong Kong to oversee the investigation into possible corruption related to a fire incident that claimed the lives of up to 160 people.
In his address, President Woo noted that the Hong Kong Government and the community were working hand in hand to support the affected families. He added that despite the challenges brought by the tragedy, the Legislative Council Election proceeded as scheduled, underscoring the ICAC's crucial role in ensuring the integrity, fairness, justice and order of public elections. President Woo emphasized that this not only demonstrates Hong Kong's unwavering respect for the rule of law but was also vital for forming a new legislature that could help prevent the reoccurrence of similar tragedies.
He concluded by extending his sincere thanks to Vice President Advocate Andy JL Mothibi of South Africa for chairing several important meetings in his absence.

14 prominent speakers, including senior representatives from IAACA member authorities, UNODC and international organizations, shared their insights and expertise on global challenges and strategies in anti-graft work on three discussion panels, namely:

Throughout the events, Members held numerous productive bilateral and multilateral meetings, which fostered vital connections.
