The 14th General Meeting of IAACA was successfully held online on 6 February 2025. The event brought together 120 leaders and representatives from global anti-corruption authorities to reflect on IAACA’s achievements in 2024, elect members of the Executive Committee (ExCo) for the next three-year term, and discuss initiatives for the year ahead.
Reflecting on IAACA’s achievements in 2024
The Secretariat provided an overview of IAACA’s key milestones in 2024. Notably, IAACA co-hosted the 8th ICAC Symposium and the 11th IAACA Annual Conference in Hong Kong alongside the Hong Kong ICAC in May 2024. During the event, the "Hong Kong Declaration on Strengthening International Cooperation in Preventing and Fighting Corruption” was officially adopted.
In addition to the landmark conference, IAACA conducted specialized training programmes to foster knowledge-sharing among anti-corruption counterparts and further deepened its collaborations with global partners. A detailed summary of these initiatives can be found in previous issue of the IAACA Newsletter.

Electing Executive Committee Members
A significant highlight of the General Meeting was the election of ExCo members for the upcoming three-year term, set to end in the General Meeting in early 2028. Among them, heads of the Ministry of Justice of Azerbaijan, the Special Investigating Unit of South Africa and the National Anti-Corruption Authority of Italy serve as Vice Presidents.
The ExCo is committed to fostering partnerships and driving key anti-corruption initiatives alongside IAACA members and global stakeholders in the coming years.
