It was a pleasure to welcome IAACA Executive Committee Member from Brazil to Hong Kong for a dynamic week of engagement and exchange.

Representing IAACA, Mr Marcelo Pontes Vianna from Brazil’s Office of Comptroller General (CGU) delivered valuable insights as a speaker at the APEC Workshop, contributing to important regional discussions on anti-corruption cooperation. 

On the sidelines, IAACA President and ICAC Commissioner Mr Danny WOO held vital bilateral meeting with Mr Marcelo to exchange views on strengthening global collaborations utilizing IAACA’s platform.  Mr Marcelo also visited the IAACA Secretariat to connect with the team and catch up on IAACA’s ongoing initiatives. 

About APEC Workshop:
The two-day workshop on “Promoting Integrity for Economic Prosperity” was co-hosted by the National Commission of Supervision of the People’s Republic of China, and the ICAC of Hong Kong, China in 9-10 June 2026. The event gathered over 150 representatives from 14 APEC member economies, including IAACA ExCo members from Brunei, Malaysia, and Singapore, and members from Chile, Indonesia, Papua New Guinea, Peru, the Philippines, Russia, Thailand, and Viet Nam—alongside UNODC, AIIB, and IACA to foster practical graft-fighting strategies.
