The IAACA Leadership Nexus Webinar Series is a new flagship platform where leaders of anti-corruption authorities from across the world take turns to share their journeys, values, and visions. It builds upon the success of the IAACA Knowledge Nexus Webinar Series, yet it is distinct in purpose and tone. While Knowledge Nexus equips audiences with technical skills and professional knowledge, Leadership Nexus seeks to inspire, offering conversations that unfold leaders’ personal and professional journeys, the challenges of putting integrity in practice, their vision for the future, and the legacies they leave behind.

The Inaugural episode will feature Dr Giuseppe Busia, President of the Italian National Anti-Corruption Authority (ANAC), Italy and Vice President of IAACA. 

INTRODUCTION

In September 2026, Dr Giuseppe Busia will conclude his mandatory, non-renewable six-year mandate as the President of ANAC. Throughout his tenure, Dr Busia has championed the evolution of corruption prevention from a purely bureaucratic exercise into a dynamic, data-driven discipline. Under his leadership, ANAC became a benchmark for the digital transformation of public procurement monitoring and cross-border cooperation. 

IAACA Secretariat invites Dr Busia to share his retrospective insights, the practical complexity of leading a premier independent authority, and his vision for the global anti-corruption framework.

OBJECTIVES

• Knowledge Transfer: Extract practical lessons on building institutional resilience and leveraging big data/AI for preventive oversight
• Global Mentorship: Provide a platform for overseas counterparts, particularly growing ACAs, to engage directly on the challenges of operational independence
• Strengthen Networks: Reinforce the value of multilateral cooperation platforms (IAACA, European Network for Public Ethics and Network for Integrity) in sustaining domestic anti-corruption efforts
